Biography
After going through various makeup schools, Toni G’s career as a makeup artist began with her first big break on the hit television show Beverly Hills 90210. After two seasons on 90210 she got a call that would lead her to work with a little-known but talented young actor Leonardo DiCaprio on What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.
With her first feature under her belt, Toni G. went on to apply makeup for various circus mimes on Batman Forever, which led to a call that would take her career in an exciting new direction. While working on a film in Nebraska, Toni received a call from Award-winning special effects makeup artist Rick Baker asking her to join his crew. The next day she would start working on The Nutty Professor. Later she would supervise the back-to-back makeup spectacles How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Planet Of The Apes for Baker’s Cinovation Studios.
Then in 2002, Toni was hired to transform the beautiful Charlize Theron into a serial killer Aileen Wornous for director Patty Jenkins’ indie film Monster. Charlize would later go on to win numerous awards, including the Oscar, for her performance.
Having won awards for best contemporary makeup on The General’s Daughter, Toni G. has displayed a proven talent for both effects and beauty makeup design and application.
