Like many successful Hair Stylists in the entertainment business, Suzy Mazzarese Allison started her career working in upscale salons where she was trained in the Vidal Sassoon style of precision hair cutting. When she finally made the decision to leave salon life, she went first into theatre production where she learned to perfect her wig work skills by working on over 20 Broadway shows.

With that theatrical experience under her belt, Suzy moved on to television and film and became a member of the Local 706 in 1989, and then a member of the Local 798 in 1995.  Having had extensive training with wigs, she decided to master hair extensions as well, and was certified in Hairlocs and other wax hair extension work in 1999.

Some of Suzy’s Hair Department Head film credits are “Remember Me” starring Robert Pattinson, “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” starring Matthew McConaughey, the “Sex and the City” movie, “Be Kind Rewind” and “The Brave One”.  Her television Hair Department Head credits include season 3 of “Ugly Betty” and season 1 of “Flight of the Conchords”.
